The taste is as important as the ‘look’ so here at
CHIC CAKES by Kim Compton we only use the best quality ingredients including free range eggs and fair trade products wherever possible. Our individual tastes are so diverse – to cater we offer a number of different flavours from luscious lemon cake to the traditional rich fruit cake.
It is possible to mix and match different flavours for multi-tiered cakes, though if a fruit cake is chosen this will always feature as the bottom tier to give support and structure to the whole cake.
Rich Traditional Fruit Cake
A moist cake containing dried dates, prunes and apricots with currants, raisins, sultanas and nuts matured with brandy, baked 6-8 weeks in advance.
Classic Victoria Sponge Cake
Infused with vanilla syrup, layered with strawberry conserve and vanilla buttercream.
Luscious Lemon Cake
A light and zesty cake infused with lemoncello syrup, layered with lemon curd buttercream.
Chocolate Truffle Cake
Made with melted chocolate and layered with delicious chocolate ganache buttercream.
Moist Carrot Cake
Fruity and moist with rum-soaked sultanas, coconut and walnuts, infused with citrus syrup and filled with vanilla buttercream.
All cakes are covered with almond paste or ganache and sugar-paste or royal icing to give a smooth satin finish.
Important Note - Allergies
Nut, Gluten and Alcohol free cakes are available on request, though regrettably we are unable to offer egg-free (vegan).
